Falcons News · MSHSAA APPROVES TWO-YEAR PHYSICALS/PHYSICAL NIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Missouri State High School Activities Association recently amended a by-law to allow a physical examination by a medical professional to be valid for a duration of two years (730 days) from date of issue.

What this means is that all physicals that were valid for the 2018-19 school year can also be used in 2019-20 until the two-year expiration date.

AT STALEY, WE WOULD PREFER IF ALL STUDENT-ATHLETES WERE ON THE FOLLOWING CYCLE:  ONLY incoming freshmen and incoming juniors should get physicals this spring and summer.  That would mean student-athletes will get a physical to cover freshman and sophomore years and then a physical to cover junior and senior years.

THEREFORE, WE ARE ENCOURAGING ONLY INCOMING (2019-20) FRESHMEN AND JUNIORS TO COME TO OUR ANNUAL PHYSICAL NIGHT ON THURS., MAY 23!!  We will only have enough doctors present that night for a reduced number of student-athletes needing physicals.

All students will need to upload their physicals into Privit this spring and summer in preparation for summer camps and fall sports next school year.  Instructions will be provided on that process shortly.

If you have any questions, please contact the Staley Activities Office at 816-321-4194.
